"Walang panalangin na nasasayang..." my Ate would always say to me...
I always believed that no prayers are invain, that regardless on how we feel, our current status, the Lord will always hear the prayer of our hearts. Therefore, no matter how awkward may seem to be talking to Someone that you don't actually see physically, I'm 100% sure that He hears.
I've never been so confident this way since that time... A time so precious...
Though I've been knowing the Lord at a young age and I started to know Him through Prayers, it came a point in my life in which I didn't know, or well, actually, I was not that sure if He was attentively hearing me because in the real world I did not see any effect. I felt like my prayers were going any where else, except to the throne of the Lord. Like they were bouncing back to me without reaching their destination. I struggled a lot. Especially when He pushed me on my knees and placed a heavy burden to pray for something very specific, yet without seeing any result of my kneeling. I was disapointed, and the Lord knew it very well.
But a turning point came in my life that day... While praying, the Lord impressed in my heart the phrase my Ate always keeps on repeating me with faith. I believed that truth just by mind. Not by heart. By words. Not with all my inmost being. I was then half sure... I didn't understand fully the concept. While lost in Him, He suddenly showed me something.
I saw like big drops of water, they were transparent enough for me to see what was inside it: my prayer. My prayer was
encapsulated by this big circle, like a drop of water zoomed x100. I saw many of them ascending the throne of God... The Hevean was full of them... But guess what? That very time I saw my God catching my Drop of Prayer. :) Isn't it sweet from Him?
I saw His hand holding my Prayer.
The Lord assured me His compleate trustworthyness. He assured me that He just not hears, but also holds my prayer in His hand. That if I cared for that Prayer, He cares even more. And finally that is never wasted... Because He will ever be catching every single drop of prayer that comes from my heart...
Pray with your heart... He will be catching your drop of prayer too... :)
